Chapter 3 – The Crescent Mark

The heavy, suffocating silence in the grand restaurant was absolutely deafening.

Baby Leo’s frantic thrashing completely ceased. He let out a soft, contented sigh, his small hands relaxing as he looked up at Sophie with wide, innocent eyes. The magical, instantaneous connection between the infant and the waitress was impossible to ignore.

Dominic was utterly paralyzed. He had hired dozens of elite pediatricians and luxury nannies, but none of them could calm his son like this.

But Sophie wasn’t smiling. A tight close-up captured all the color violently draining from her beautiful face.

Her hand was still resting on Leo’s chest, gently brushing against the collar of his expensive blue and white outfit. She noticed a severe, angry red rash forming on the baby’s delicate skin, directly caused by the synthetic, harsh fabric of the designer clothing. But that wasn’t what made her heart completely stop beating in her chest.

Right below the collarbone, perfectly visible on the baby’s pale skin, was a distinct, tiny crescent-moon birthmark.

Sophie physically staggered backward, her hands flying to her mouth in pure, apocalyptic horror.

To understand the absolute, unhinged trauma tearing through Sophie’s mind, one had to know her devastating past. Exactly eight months ago, Sophie had given birth to a baby boy in a private clinic. The doctors had tragically informed her that her son had died shortly after delivery. She had never even been allowed to hold him. But she had seen him for exactly three seconds.

She had seen that exact, perfectly shaped crescent birthmark.

This wasn’t a random billionaire’s heir. This was her son.

👉 Sophie looked up with tears of sheer fury in her eyes, preparing to confront the monsters who had stolen her life.

Chapter 4 – The Vicious Fiancée

Before Sophie could even process the overwhelming, earth-shattering reality that her biological son was alive, the toxic peace was violently shattered.

Vanessa, the glamorous, snobby fiancée sitting across the table, abruptly slammed her crystal wine glass onto the white tablecloth. She stood up, her expensive designer evening gown swishing as her face twisted into a horrific mask of pure, unadulterated malice.

“Get your filthy, disgusting hands off my baby!” Vanessa shrieked wildly, completely abandoning her elegant, high-society persona.

She aggressively lunged across the VIP table, desperately trying to push Sophie away from the stroller. “Guard! Arrest this pathetic peasant! She just assaulted my child! Throw her out into the street!”

The tall guard in the dark suit immediately stepped forward, reaching his massive hands out to violently grab Sophie’s arms.

“Do not touch her,” Dominic commanded.

The freezing, lethal frequency of his voice instantly paralyzed the guard. Dominic slowly stood up from his chair. The towering, heavily tattooed billionaire didn’t look at his screaming fiancée. He kept his intense, calculating dark eyes locked entirely on the trembling waitress in the black and white uniform.

Dominic was an apex predator who survived by reading people. And he saw a terrifying, undeniable truth unfolding right in front of him. Vanessa, the woman who claimed to be Leo’s mother, hadn’t shed a single tear while the baby screamed in agony.

But the waitress—a complete stranger—was openly weeping, staring at the infant with a profound, earth-shattering love that could not be faked.

👉 Vanessa realized her billionaire fiancé was becoming deeply suspicious, and she made a catastrophic, desperate mistake.
