Chapter 5 – The Poisoned Bottle
“Dominic, she is a deranged servant!” Vanessa panicked, her voice cracking into a high-pitched, desperate squeal as she saw the dark, lethal suspicion brewing in his eyes. “She probably pinched him to make him stop crying! She is dangerous!”
“He stopped crying because you put him in a synthetic polyester outfit that is giving him a severe allergic reaction,” Sophie stated clinically, her voice shaking with pure, maternal rage. “He is burning up. And he’s starving.”
Vanessa’s face went completely pale. She snatched a luxury baby bottle from her designer handbag and aggressively shoved it toward the stroller.
“He isn’t starving! I brought his formula!” Vanessa snapped, her hands trembling violently as she tried to force the bottle into the baby’s mouth to prove she was a good mother.
But Sophie’s sharp eyes caught a distinct, chalky white residue lingering at the bottom of the expensive bottle.
Without hesitating for a single microsecond, Sophie lunged forward and violently swatted the bottle out of Vanessa’s hands. The heavy plastic crashed against the polished hardwood floor, spilling the thick liquid everywhere.
“Are you insane?!” Vanessa screamed, pointing an aggressive finger at the waitress. “Dominic, kill her! She just attacked me!”
Dominic didn’t draw a weapon. He didn’t call for his executioners. He slowly crouched down on the floor, perfectly ignoring his tailored dark suit. He dipped his finger into the spilled formula and brought it to his nose.
The sharp, distinct chemical smell of a heavy, prescription-grade liquid sedative filled his senses.
👉 Dominic stood up, and the terrifying, untouchable mafia boss inside him was completely and violently unleashed.
Chapter 6 – The Lethal Realization
The cinematic realism of the absolute, crushing silence paralyzed the grand restaurant.
Dominic slowly stood up to his full, towering height. The air in the room instantly dropped ten degrees. He wasn’t just a wealthy businessman; he was a man who ruled the city’s criminal underworld with an iron fist. And he had just realized his fiancée was actively drugging his eight-month-old infant to keep him quiet.
“You put liquid sedatives in my son’s formula,” Dominic whispered softly, leaning down slightly so his voice carried a terrifying, untouchable power.
Vanessa physically staggered backward, dropping her designer handbag. “Vince… no! The doctor prescribed it! He has colic! I was just trying to help him sleep so we could have a peaceful dinner! I swear!”
“You’re a liar!” Sophie screamed, entirely abandoning her professional restraint. Tears of profound, agonizing betrayal streamed down her beautiful face. She pointed a trembling finger directly at the wealthy woman. “You aren’t his mother! You have never been his mother!”
The wealthy guests surrounding the VIP area gasped in pure, unfiltered horror.
“Shut your mouth, you pathetic maid!” Vanessa wailed hysterically, her toxic arrogance completely shattering under the pressure. “I gave birth to him! Dominic, she is a psychotic stalker! Have her shot!”
Dominic looked at Sophie. “What did you just say?”
“He has a crescent birthmark below his collarbone,” Sophie choked out, falling to her knees beside the stroller, completely breaking down. “I gave birth to him eight months ago at St. Jude’s Clinic. The doctors told me he died. But he didn’t die. She stole him from me.”
👉 Dominic pulled his encrypted cell phone from his suit, ready to execute a digital search that would destroy Vanessa’s life.
